Antonio Zambardino was born in Rome in 1981.
He graduated at IED in 2004. At the same time, he worked in the editorial project C:Cube by Nello Barile.
From 2006 to 2008 he worked as assistant for the major photographic printing laboratories in Rome, where he specialized in the post-production of reportages.
In 2008 he devoted himself entirely to the profession of photographer, moving to Naples, where he began a project about garbage crisis in the Campania region; thanks to this project, he won the FNAC prize 2008.
He was based in Bangkok, following the region’s main social and environmental issues day by day.
In the previous years he has developed personal projects at home in Italy, and further afield in North America, the Middle East and Asia. His work has been published internationally and honored in the New York Photo Festival, the Pictures of The Year, the FOAM Talent selection and the International Photography Awards.
He died before his time in 2016 on Thai island of Koh Phangan.
