Cookie Policy

Extended notice on Cookie

Notice in accordance with art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679

Photomakers S.r.l., based in Rome (RM) at Via Venti Settembre 118, informs, pursuant to art. 13 EU Regulation 2016/679 and in compliance with the regualations of the Provision 229/2014 of the Data Protection Authority, that on the website you are visiting we use “cookies”: technologies useful to improve your web surfing. With this Policy we want you to understand the characteristics and purposes of cookies and how to disable them if necessary. In our capacity as Data Controller we can change this Policy at any time: any change will take effect from the date of publication on the Site.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text strings that the sites visited by the user send to their computer (usually the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites at the next visit by the same user. While browsing a site, you can also receive cookies on your computer that are sent from different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”), on which some elements may reside (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site you are surfing.

Cookie types

The EU cookie law and the general provision of the Data Protection Authority of 8 May 2015 “Identification of the simplified procedures for the notice and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies” identify two macro-categories: “technical” cookies and “profiling” cookies.

a) Technical cookies. They are those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service”.

They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or manager.

Within the definition of technical cookies, the legislator and the Data Protection Authority distinguish between various cases. There are navigation cookies or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; even, functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

These types of cookies receive a different regulatory framework with respect to profiling cookies.

b) Profiling cookies. They are aimed at creating user profiles and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of web surfing. Due to the particular invasiveness that such devices may have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian legislation provides that the user must be adequately informed about their use and thus express their valid consent.

The Data Protection Authority for the protection of personal data in the aforementioned provision also contemplates “third party” cookies, namely, those cookies that come from other domains and that contain elements, such as ads or images, incorporated into the page.

Cookies used by this site

Within our site we use distinct types of cookies:

• Navigation cookies;

• “Third party” cookies

• “Third profiling” cookies
