Fausto Giaccone, born in 1943, grew up in Palermo and graduated in architecture in Rome, where he began to devote himself professionally to photography following the 1968 youth protests. He has always worked as a free lance photojournalist, producing social and cultural reports. He published in 1987 the book A Portuguese story (on the 1975 Agrarian Reform season), and, in 2013, Macondo, the world of Gabriel García Márquez and Volti di Cavallino Treporti.
