Francesco Brigida was born in Monopoli ( Puglia ) in 1980. In Milan he began his training working as an assistant to numerous professional photographers and advertising studios.
Specializing in fashion and architecture photography, from 2002 he immediately began working as a photographer and director between Milan and Paris for numerous brands such as Valentino, Serge Lutens, Dior, Etro, Armani, Hermès, Loro Piana, Dolce&Gabbana and many others.
In 2015 he exhibited in the group show curated by Vittorio Linfante “The new vocabulary of Italian fashion” at the Milan Triennale. In 2016, his works find space in the exhibition “Haute à porter” curated by Filep Motwary at the Mode Museum in Hasselt (Belgium).
In 2019, in Paris, he participates in the group exhibition “Image Nation” in Galerie Joseph and the following year he collaborates with Pierre Louis Mascia in the boutique Leclaireur.In 2023 comes his first solo exhibition at the Alessia Paladini gallery in Milan, which marks a turning point for his photography. This is followed again in 2023 by a group show held in Rome at the Millepiani space in collaboration with “Loosenart,” and in the same year he won the second prize “PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris” in the auteur book mention with the project “ Study for a sculpture” and exhibited in the related group show at Galerie 24-b in Paris. In 2024 he returned to Rome and exhibited in a solo-show at Bruno Lisi Gallery led by the curatorship of Camilla Boemio. In the same year he was invited by Hossein Farmani to present his project “Study for a Sculpture” in the House of Lucie Ostuni Foundation.
Also in 2024, Brigida’s work was included in an ‘important publication on Fashion Photography “ Panorama of Contemporary Italian Fashion Photography ” produced by Skira editore under the curatorship of Pablo Arroyo.
His shots have been published in several international magazines: Vogue Russia, Vogue Japan, Vogue Portugal, Vogue Italy, Harper’s Bazaar USA, Another Magazine and Encens Magazine.
In 2021 he published his first book, Study for a Sculpture, Linke Editions. He lives and works between Milan and Paris.
