Stories

Racconti d’istanti

It is the story of a class of fifth-graders struggling with the most complicated experience of the last few years: the covid19 pandemic. In order to have a wide spectrum of ispiration Lorenzo asked those children three things that they had missed the most during the first lockdown while they were confined in their rooms. Once he got their answers he decided to mix them by creating imaginative and fantastic character like those of a list of imaginary beings. The perpouse was to create a new way of talking about isolation as a chance of exploring the deepest and more poetic parts of this group of kids.

Tunnel

Lorenzo decided to point his camera at teenagers trying to capture personal peculiarities to portray the dreams, fears and desires of that transitional age full of doubts and questions. The result is a photographic tale of incredible incisiveness, in which light, colors and shadows contribute to create a series of tableau vivants in which each element builds, together with the portraits of the young people, a dreamlike story in which they can be themselves.

Familiar world

It is an intimate and delicate journey exploring the times, places and memories of his family life. In twenty years of married life, his gaze not only as a photographer, but as a father and partner, has investigated the travels and daily life of Giulia, his wife and their three daughters, Arianna, Carlotta and Domitilla, composing a family album in which the focus is on moments of tenderness and complicity, domestic environments and travel moments. The warm light with which Lorenzo portrays the women of his family make Familiar World a small, precious story that opens a playful and happy window on what matters most: those we love.

Portrait of Italy

It is a collection of personal and commissioned works brought together to tell the story of Italian taste, food and lifestyle. A journey to the "Bel Paese" that Lorenzo takes with a new look, far from clichés. The portrait of Italy becomes a sort of perspective, made of fresh pasta, wonderful views, varied humanity, funny situations, spontaneous portraits.
