In 2018 Swedish girl Greta Thunberg staged a protest outside the Swedish parliament, every schoolday for 3 weeks, holding a sign “School strike for the climate” to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis. What she was doing went viral. Strikes began to be organised around the world. Inspired by Thunberg “Fridays for Future” is an international movement of students who take time off from class to participate in demonstrations to demand action to prevent further climate change.

Alice Imbastari, 10 years old, attends the fifth grade in Nettuno. Since February 10th 2019 she goes, every Friday after school, to collect plastic waste on the beach when she is not be able to demonstrate in the square with her FFF companions in Rome; she considers this gesture her "small observatory" on pollution. Alice began to strike with the Fridays for Future movement in Rome on March 15th. She is now speaking up against climate bullying of which she was victim at school. Rome, Italy, 2019
Riccardo Nanni, at 21 years old is already a spokesman for the FFF Rome movement, speaking on behalf of FFF Rome in the Chamber of Deputies on World Food Day alongside FAO; he was also a guest of Kilimanjaro show. Marianna Panzarino launched Fridays for Future Bari and was among the activists of the first national coordination. In September 2019, she followed the process to make climate emergency be declared in the city of Rome, pushing the Municipality to adopt the motion unanimously. Marianna is a 24 year old law student at La Sapienza University, she dreams of becoming a magistrate, making her battle not only for the climate but also the battle against mafia. Rome, Italy, 2019

Ginevra Zolli since the second year of high school has always actively participated in the world of student politics. She is 20 years old and attends the second year of International Economic Relations at La Sapienza University. In the last year she started engaging herself on environmental issues, taking part in a Legambiente youth club and at the same time she started to collaborate with the Fridays for Future Rome movement.
