Fridays for Future Italia
In 2018 Swedish girl Greta Thunberg staged a protest outside the Swedish parliament, every schoolday for 3 weeks, holding a sign “School strike for the climate” to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis. What she was doing went viral. Strikes began to be organised around the world. Inspired by Thunberg “Fridays for Future” is an international movement of students who take time off from class to participate in demonstrations to demand action to prevent further climate change.
Athletes without citizenship
In Italy there are more than a million girls and boys without Italian citizenship. Many of them were born in our country or arrived as children. Their life is linked to Italy but they don't have the same opportunities and rights as other kids their age because according to the law they are not Italian. They are suspended in a limbo that does not allow them to pursue and fully realize their dreams. The best athletes are recognized as theirs successes in the youth categories even if they do not yet have citizenship, but cannot compete and represent Italy in international events. Sport is a symbol of opportunity denied to girls and boys that the State does not consider "Italian".
